Chicago Bear fans have been dealing with rumors of WR Johnny Knox had been seeking a trade. We can put the rumors to bed. Johnny Knox has came out and said it was all speculation and that he was not seeking a trade. Knox told the Chicago Tribune that

"I'm a Bear, and I want to stay a Bear for life." Knox attributed all of the trade talk to speculation. Rumors were circling the internet that Knox was seeking a trade after being moved down the depth chart behind Roy Williams. Knox is now the 2nd X WR for the Mike Martz' system in Chicago.

Despite being frustrated with the decision, Knox clearly intends to work hard to get his spot back.

You gotta love that attitude. Most athletes these days would demand a trade or a change of scenery. Not Johnny Knox.

Who would ever think that hard work and effort might actually pay off?

Despite being moved down the depth chart Mike Martz and WR's coach Darryl Drake have been stated that Knox will be an integral part of the Bears offense. Knox did lead the team last season with 960 yards and 5 TD's. Knox was the big play WR in the offense but, his WR abilities are purely raw and unpolished. His route-running needs to be improved as it was the direct cause of several Cutler interceptions last season.

Johnny Knox is a Bear. For now, and for always (hopefully).
